Origins Skin Care Reviews
We want to tell you about some of our favorite products offered by Origins. We won’t discuss every product they offer because that would make for a very long list. Follow this link if you want to view a complete list of their skincare products. We’ll just hit some of the highlights here.
Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash – It might sound a little strange, but this face wash contains natural charcoal that removes dirt and excess oil without drying out the skin. No, the charcoal doesn’t make your face dirty! It actually leaves your face looking clean and feeling refreshed. People who have tried it rate it 4.6 stars out of 5 stars on Amazon.
Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores – This face mask contains a number of natural ingredients like bentonite (a type of clay often used for detoxification) and kaolin (a type of clay high in minerals, often used to soften the skin), in addition to charcoal. It removes excess oil from the skin and draws dirt and debris from the pores, fighting acne and making the pores less noticeable. Some people report a slight tingling or burning sensation when it is first applied, followed by a cool, refreshing feeling.
Eye Doctor Moisture Care for Skin Around Eyes – This light, non-greasy moisturizer contains plenty of natural ingredients like cucumber, ginseng, rosemary, and green tea, which helps fight free radicals. It helps remove crows’ feet, puffiness, and those dark circles around the eyes.
Original Skin Renewal Serum with Willowherb – If you’re concerned about the effects of aging, stress, or lack of sleep on your skin, this product is for you. It contains natural ingredients, including Canadian willowherb, that reduces lines and wrinkles, makes pores less visible, and leaves skin smooth and fresh-looking. People who have tried it rate it 4.5 stars out of 5 stars in Origins skincare reviews; no one gave it fewer than 4 stars.
Original Skin Retexturing Mask with Rose Clay – This mask contains the Mediterranean rose clay and exfoliating jojoba beads. It leaves the skin feeling smooth and makes pores less visible. It contains no parabens (preservatives that mimic estrogen in the body), sulfates (which can irritate or even damage the skin) or phthalates (a plasticizer that may cause birth defects). We love this and other Origins skin products as much for what they do not contain as for what they do contain! People who have tried it rate if 4.5 stars out of 5 stars, noting it does not irritate sensitive skin like some other products they’ve tried.
Perfect World Antioxidant Moisturizer with White Tea – This lightweight, non-greasy moisturizer contains white tea, which is a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants, as you may know, protect against cell damage from harmful molecules called free radicals. They essentially combat the effects of aging by protecting your cells. This moisturizer is great for repairing skin that has been damaged by sun exposure, smoking (smoking is really bad for your skin, though, so if you smoke and are concerned about skincare, work on quitting), pollution or stress, as well as skin that is showing the effects of age.
Precipitation Extra Continuous Moisture Recovery – This moisturizing cream is designed for healing very dry skin. It keeps your skin moisturized throughout the day or overnight but is not greasy to the touch. It also helps repair the skin’s lipid barrier. It contains lots of natural ingredients, like cocoa and shea butter, soybean and sunflower oils, ginseng, aloe, and gentian root. In addition to feeling nice, it has a lovely smell.
Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Bright SPF 30 Skin Tone Correcting Oil-Free Moisturizer – Dr. Andrew Weil is well-known for his expertise in the fields of nutrition and natural health and he has partnered with Origins to create this oil-free, non-greasy moisturizer. It evens out skin tone and diminishes dark spots and blemishes. It’s also a sunscreen with an SPF of 30, which meets the recommendations of the American Academy of Dermatology.
